Adelaide
We arrived from Sydney early in the morning. Our friend Sophie, an ex-member from English in Toulouse, came to meet us. We stayed at her parent's place overnight before heading north to Wilpena Pound.
South Australia, and the region around Adelaide, is most famous in Australia for its food and wines. So we ended up visiting a winery (and had lunch there), an olive factory, a candy factory, and a cheese shop.
After that we went towards the coast where we spotted our first kangaroos. Once on the coast, we saw a couple of whales flopping about. Apparently they come to this coast to give birth. Sophie reckons we may have seen one actually give birth right there and then, but Eric is skeptical. Well, there was more than one whale there for sure.
