Q1 Observation Deck, Gold Coast, Australia

The world's tallest residential tower, July 2007

The Q1 is world's tallest residential tower (in 2007, anyway) and stands at 322.5 metres high. It's located in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, just one street away from the beach.

This impressive glass building has 80 levels incorporating a 10-storey atrium, 526 apartments and a two-storey observation deck on levels 78 and 79. The lift from the street level to the 78th floor travels at 9 metres a second.
