Collioure, France
We visited Collioure in June 2004 during a two-week summer holiday in which we went to Toulouse, Narbonne, Argeles-sur-mer and Gruisson. Collioure is a very pretty little village and well worth the drive. On the other hand, there's not much to do there and the beach is covered in rocks, making it slightly uncomfortable to sunbake on, so we stayed a short drive away in Argeles-sur-mer. We arrived there for lunch one day and the next morning came back to take photos of the place just as the sun was coming up.
The sleepy little village starts to come to life as the sunshine creeps up on the buildings.

This area of France produces a sweet fortified wine called Banyuls, which is somewhat similar to Floc or Port. We bought a few bottles directly from a producer just before Collioure: "Domaine Reno".
