Bougainvillea (bought May 5th)
Poinsettia. I bought this as a tiny little plant covered in glitter for a bit of Christmas cheer in 2005. After Christmas most people throw them out, but I decided to train mine as a bonsai. It took a long time to get it nice, but the leaves have finally adapted to the size of the tree and it's starting to get a nice woody trunk.
Cerissa. I took a tender cutting of Yves' mum's bonsai late 2005 and have been training it as a bonsai ever since.
Laurel Rose (Oleander). I cut this tree back drastically in August 2006 after a heavy infestation of aphids. It looked awful all winter and now suddenly it's even bigger and bushier than it was when I got it in April 2005. It looks stunning now and I can't wait to see it covered in pink flowers like last year!
One of our little olive trees. They're five years old now (we've had them for two years).
One of the frangipani seedlings I started from seed in September 2005.
Another one of the frangipani seedlings I started from seed in September 2005.
One of the frangipani cuttings (Pink Discrete) I started from a 6-inch cutting in September 2005. (See how it looked this time last year.)
Another view of it.
