Australia Day Weekend
Toulouse, France 2009
Saturday 24th January 2009, France got hit by a cyclone. This is the river near our place in Tournefeuille.
On the other side of the bridge, a tree fell over.
It was very windy!!
We drove out to Yves' mum's place. Her cherry tree was knocked out of the ground by winds of up to 135km/hour!
The next day was beautiful and sunny. Just as well, because we'd organised a BBQ in the backyard, for Australia Day!
Heather and Christian lent us some Aussie props to make the day a bit more obvious.
Yves made a fire.
We had a few drinks...
Towards the end of the BBQ sunshine gave way to rain. The boys moved under the terrace and persevered with the BBQ. L-R: Yves, Vincent, Nic and Christian.
The girls went inside to keep warm. L-R: Carmelita, Raquel, Charlotte, Ann, Natasha and Heather.
Natasha made a yummy Aussie Day cake.
