Itinerary 2008
In 2008, we both started new jobs, so couldn't really travel far. To compensate, we explored regions near home (Toulouse, France). That meant a lot of wine tourism!
We also took a few weekend trips, notably to Paris in February for Yves' youngest brother Marc's wedding to his bride Pia, and Paris again for a long weekend in June for Yves' big family reunion.
In July we went to Gruissan and Narbonne on the Mediterranean Sea for a weekend of sun, wine and tourism and again in September for my (Narelle) birthday.
Summer holiday, July 2008
We spent a week on the Atlantic coast at the Bay of Arcachon for our third wedding anniversary in July 2008.
Arcachon is a pretty little village known for its oysters — needless to say, we ate oysters everyday.
We also climbed the Dune of Pyla, the largest sand dune in Europe, which was just a 20 minute drive from our hotel.
On the last day of our trip, we spent a few hours visiting Saint Emillion where we had lunch, and then in the late afternoon visited Bordeaux for a few hours before heading back to Toulouse.
Also on this trip: Plage les Salies, Dune de Pyla, Saint Emillion and Bordeaux.
