Cocktails
Champagne punch
- Ingredients
- Lots of ice
- 2 bottles of chilled sparkling white wine/Champagne
- 2 ladles of Cointreau
- 2 ladles of lemon juice
- 1 ladle of sugar syrup
- Method
- Half fill a large bowl with ice
- Pour in the cointreau, lemon juice and sugar syrup
- Pour in the Champagne
- Stir gently and serve
- Virgin version: use alcohol-free bubbly (D'artigny is good, if you're in France) and instead of Cointreau, use 1 ladle of orange syrup
Cosmopolitan
- Ingredients (for 4)
- 4 shots of vodka
- 1.5 shots of Cointreau
- 1.5 shots of fresh lime juice
- 3 shots of cranberry juice
- lime curl for garnish
- Method
- Shake all the ingredients with ice in a shaker.
- Strain drink into glass.
- Add lime curl to the side of the glass
Frozen Fruit Cocktail
- Ingredients (for a 2 litre jug)
- 150ml white rum (Bacardi is best because it doesn't have a strong flavour)
- 150ml Cointreau
- 1 litre of frozen mango nectar (or pineapple, or whatever)
- Method
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth and serve.
- Virgin version: Leave out the rum, subsitute the Cointreau with 75ml orange syrup
Kir Royale
- INGREDIENTS:
- a dash of creme de cassis
- dry white wine
- Method
- Pour the creme de cassis into a wine glass.
- Slowly add the dry white wine.
- Variations
- Kir Imperial: Substitute raspberry liqueur for the creme de cassis and Champagne for the wine
- Kir Royale: Substitute Champagne for the white wine, serve in a Champagne flute.
Mojito
- Ingredients
- 2 tsp sugar
- 6-8 mint leaves
- club soda
- 1 lime, halved
- 2 oz light rum
- mint sprig for garnish
- Method
- Place the sugar, the mint leaves, and a little club soda into a highball glass.
- Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and to release the mint flavor.
- Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass.
- Drop one half of the lime into the glass.
- Add the rum.
- Stir.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Add the rest of the club soda.
- Garnish with the mint sprig.
- Virgin version: Just leave out the rum
Pina Colada
- Ingredients
- 200ml Bacardi white rum
- 200ml coconut milk
- 600ml pineapple juice
- Method
- In a blender, blend all ingredients with approximately 2 cups of ice.
- Strain into a hurricane glass.
- Garnish with a cherry and pineapple wedge.
- Virgin version: just leave out the rum

Cosmok
Narelle and Yves' mock Cosmopolitan
- Ingredients
- 6 shots Cranberry juice
- 1/2 shot lime juice
- 1 shot orange syrup
- glass frosted in lime juice and sugar
- Method
- Dip rim of glass in lime juice and then in sugar
- Combine all ingredients in a glass over ice, stir.
Virgin Mary
- Ingredients
- 3 oz tomato juice
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
- celery salt
- ground pepper
- hot pepper or Tabasco sauce
- celery stalk for garnish
- Method
- Build the liquid ingredients into a highball glass over ice cubes.
- Mix well.
- Add the seasonings to taste.
- Garnish with the celery stalk.
Orangatang
- Ingredients
- 1 part orange juice
- 1 part cranberry juice
- ice
- Method
- Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake and serve.
