Garlic butter
- Ingredients
- 200g salted butter
- 1 large garlic clove
- a good shake of herbes de provence
- Method
- Gently heat butter in a small pan.
- When the butter is warm, clarify it by scooping the scum off the top with a small sieve. Continue until the butter is completely clear.
- Add in the finely grated garlic and a good shake of herbes de provence. Stir well, cover and pop it in the fridge.
- After a few minutes the butter will start to set. Give it a stir from time to time to ensure the garlic and herbs are well distributed.
- Serve with hot, crusty French bread.
