Durham, England

Summer, 2001

We met up with Yves' friends Fred and Meriel when they were in Durham, England one summer. We caught the train from Edinburgh and two hours later there we were.

Durham is a pretty little village just over the border in England. It has a river flowing through the centre and there are canoes for hire and cruises on offer. We all hired a canoe and went for a row for an hour which was very nice. We saw some turtles and lots of birds along the way. After that we got ice-creams and walked around the village enjoying the sunshine.
