Day 2, Sandwood Bay (Part 2)
We dawdled all the way there, taking a lot of photos and running around on the sandy shores of a couple of lochs. Just as we reached the beach, at around 1pm, the sun caught up with us and within minutes the beach lit up in dazzling sunlight. As if by magic, the temperature climbed up to 24° and all the clouds from the morning vanished over a period of 20 minutes. We stayed at the beach until around 3.30pm and then walked back. We made very good time on the way back and were back at the car an hour and a half later — exactly the time recommended by the hotel guidebook.
